Photo Exhibition by Christopher Doulgeris at the Poseidonion, Spetses

Photographs of Christopher Doulgeris from the series entitled Naturiver are on display at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel in Spetses. Naturiver is a series of photos of a nondescript river that have taken on human scale – nature imposes its presence, while simultaneously living in harmony with its man-made environment.

The subject as commonplace as it could be, transforms into a unique work of art. Through his work Doulgeris is communicating his hopes and dreams for a peaceful co-existence between man and nature. The artist’s photographic series entitled, Landscape (Lake Kerkini), created after an accidental trip to his hometown of Serres in 2003 are also on display. Christopher Doulgeris born in Greece. In 1988 he moved to Germany (ESSEN), where he studied sociology at the University of Crete from 1992-1997, and moved to London in 1999 where he studied photography at Camberwell College of Arts, while simultaneously working as a freelance photographer.

Doulgeris lives and works in Athens since 2003, and is now preparing a retrospective exhibition (1992 – 2013) with audio and video installation for the Museum of Modern Art in Rethymno, Crete.
